I discovered that the sky and the water were too bright and blue, which made them look artificial. One of the things that I learned from Terry Klaaren at the July 1st plein air painting class at River Lea was that the sky is a combination of blue and white. When you paint the water, add a little green to the blue and white combination.
I finished the painting and added the words. They look like handwriting, not calligraphy, which I think is OK. I signed the painting and pronounced it finished.
So... what creative projects have you recently finished after leaving them to sit for a while?

I recently finished a quilt for granddaughter. It took the best part of 2 years :-)
Nice demonstration of your method :-)
Thank you, Janice. And congratulations on finishing the quilt. That's a big project!
You are so creative Alice! I love the bears and the message is perfect!!
I'm still working on an afghan I started for my son in September of 2013. I enjoyed seeing some of your creative process.
How beautiful! I have loved teddy bears for as long as I can remember. In fact, if I were ever to start a collection of one thing (the way my son collected monkeys, for instance), it would be teddy bears.
My latest creative project is a writing one. I'm creating a 7-day eCourse for healing daily stress. So far, I have created the free opt-in but not the email list, and the outline & the plan but not the actual course.
Pretty sure I'd not choose any "bear-types" to be part of my family...
But, the sentiment works great.
Teddy Bears are many people's first friends as children. So appropriate as the picture to accompany the sentiment.
