Architecture at Stella Niagara Preserve
There are several structures on the grounds of the Stella Niagara Preserve. They include statues and buildings. The buildings are filled with art work that tells stories about people and faith. The biggest of the structures is the little chapel, which is believed to the the smallest religious structure in Western New York. It has quite the story. This little chapel is full of sgaffito murals, created by Polish artist Josef Slawinski. It is a little structure, but it is mighty. In 1955, it was one of the few structures along the river to survive that year's historic ice jam. Below are a series of pictures of the Stella Niagara structures.
